Walk through the doors at MK Snap and you will feel the energy, creativity and pride that is lighting up the lives of the learners. MK snap’s vision is of transformation through promoting independence and opportunity via a stimulating programme run by a skilled and dedicated team.
As a charity, MK Snap is governed by a Board of Trustees who support its work by providing leadership for the charity and being responsible for ensuring that it is well run, solvent and delivering its charitable outcome.
The Board of Trustees is seeking to welcome new members by recruiting people who:
- Support the aims of MK Snap and wish to contribute to the continued success of the charity.
- Have experience of acting as a trustee or would like to gain that experience
- Enjoy working as a team towards shared objectives
- Have empathy with the learning disability sector
Skill and Knowledge areas that would be of particular interest:
- Making the most of the digital age
- Equality and Diversity
- Law and Finance
- Experience of how local government works
- Fundraising
As a trustee, you would join a dedicated and lively group of trustees. The time commitment is four to five board meetings per year (approx. 2 hours each) plus membership of one committee with a similar time commitment. You would receive induction and training and have the opportunity both to take strategic decisions and support the work of the charity.
