Onyx Recruitment in association with local law firm Hewitsons held a very successful quiz night on 28th September, raising nearly £2,000 for Worktree in Milton Keynes.
Michelle Theuma, Director at Onyx Recruitment commented “Around 100 people from local businesses took part, so a massive thank you to them for giving up their time and money, as well as to Jurys Inn who provided a room and served a delicious meal to keep the Quizzers going!
“I personally attend several Career Workout sessions each year at local schools and am absolutely delighted that we have been able to raise awareness of this valuable initiative and through the generosity of those attending also contribute nearly £2,000 to Worktree.
“Worktree enables young people in schools to meet and interview multiple local employees from a diverse range of businesses. This gives them a much better understanding of the careers that might be open to them and also helps them develop vital speaking and listening skills. Young people win, the schools benefit and so do we as employers by giving something back to the community and getting to meet our potential future employees and learn about them.”
