The Community Foundation’s Women’s Fund supports projects that encourage women to achieve economic self-sufficiency, prevent violence against women and children, promote emotional and physical wellbeing for women and children and create opportunities.
The Women’s Fund was founded in 2000 to support the development and welfare of women and children. The fund continues to grow with the support of Women in Enterprise and individual donors.

"The 8th March 2017 was International Women’s Day and MK foundation had put together an event to celebrate it. Some of our member were able to attend and enjoyed it very much!
Here is an extract of the email MK foundation sent to the attendees after the event:
"On these occasions it is always important, and lovely to see, members of our community coming together to commemorate and celebrate past and present achievements of women and rejoice at the evolution of humankind, although we know there is still further work to be done. Furthermore, it was really pleasing to see so many supporters attend The Milton Keynes Rose gathering to attach their #BeBoldforChange pledges to the Internal Women’s Day pillar, even in slightly inclement weather!...
You will be delighted to hear that so far we have raised around £700 for the Women’s Fund as a result of our International Women’s Day event and we are sure that this will increase as some guests mentioned donating via our website - we will update you with further details regarding this when you read our webletter at the end of the month as we will run a special feature then.
We are so pleased to announce that Women in Enterprise have decided to renew their partnership with us and will be making regular donations to the Women’s Fund - we look forward to working with them!
In conclusion, we hope you enjoy the rest of International Women’s Day and remember to #BEBOLDFORCHANGE!" If you wish to make a donation to the Women’s Fund, please visit our website: www.mkcommunityfoundation.co.uk/donations.
